I wrote this song about my Grandmother after she died in August 1995. She was my fathers mother and the sweetest lady you have met. I was priveledged to sing it at her funeral.
1)My grandmother was such a lovely woman
A heart of gold, pure and refined
A voice that could soothe any hurting
and bring a spark of joy in your eyes
2)She never would show that she was angry
Her eyes of love, gentle and kind
The love of her Saviour ever showing
Teaching you how Christ can change your life
C) Now she’s in Heaven with Grandpa and her Lord
Maybe playing the piano, singing songs of joy
Laughing and smiling cause there’s no pain anymore
Probably walking through the gardens picking flowers by the score
3)A sure reflection of a Godly woman
Her soul so pure, devoted and true
Her prayers were packages of God’s own wisdom
Wrapped within a Lady Named Ruth
A Lady Named Ruth
My Grandmother Ruth
